About this course
To train all personnel to operate Fire-Fighting equipment to a Basic standard of competency. Firefighting is the act of extinguishing fires. A firefighter suppresses and extinguishes fires to prevent loss of life, and/or destruction of property and the environment. This course also aims to provide knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond appropriately to a fire emergency and provide the knowledge for the proper use of emergency equipment and procedures to enhance survival in a fire emergency.
