How it is written

Each procedure states the steps, the responsible roles, the frequencies and the records produced, so it can be followed on the day you buy it. Every requirement of the standard is mapped to a document in the clause cross-reference matrix — so you can show an assessor where each requirement is met. Auditor notes flag what assessors look for and the nonconformities that come up most often.

Need the internal auditor training too?

The same kit is available with a complete internal-auditor (IQA) training pack — handbook, trainer's guide, slides, exercises and examination. Ask us for the combined edition.

Please note

IEC 61882:2016 is an application guide for a hazard identification technique. No certification body issues a certificate against it, no organisation or individual can be "IEC 61882 certified", and this toolkit makes no accreditation or certification claim. Conformity with the guide is demonstrated study by study, through the study record itself: a signed terms of reference that fixes the objective, boundaries and design representation; a verified drawing set at stated revisions; a team whose disciplines and competence are recorded; a systematic parameter–guideword examination of every node with an entry against every combination examined; a record reviewed and agreed by the team; every open question answered; and every recommendation assigned, implemented and verified. [Organisation Name] demonstrates conformity by self-declaration supported by these records, by review of the study report by the Technical Authority (Process Safety) and, where a project's scale warrants it, by independent technical review. Regulators, insurers, licensors and clients read the study file as the evidence; the toolkit's purpose is to make that file complete and defensible.
