ISO 9001:2026 Awareness Training — New Changes and Implementation Roadmap

ISO 9001:2026 was published on 16 September 2026 and replaces ISO 9001:2015. Certified organisations have until the end of the IAF three-year transition window in September 2029 to move to the new edition. After that, 2015 certificates are no longer valid. The revision is a targeted update rather than a rewrite. The harmonised structure, the process approach, PDCA, risk-based thinking and the seven quality management principles all stay, and there are no new mandatory documented procedures. An organisation with a working 2015 system is updating it, not rebuilding it.

The course takes the changes in clause order. It covers the terms now defined in the standard itself, and the climate-change determination and sustainability in context. It covers quality culture and ethical behaviour for top management, and the separate registers for risks and for opportunities. It also covers expanded change planning, organisational knowledge, the wording 'available as documented information', and customer communication about disruptions. The reorganised clause 10 and the much larger informative Annex A complete the list. For every change the course explains what changed, why it changed, what evidence an auditor will look for, and exactly what to do about it.

The course is for quality managers, management representatives, internal auditors, consultants and department heads in the GCC and the wider region. Afterwards, learners can brief their leadership and run a gap analysis. They can also plan a 12-month or compressed 6-month transition and prepare for the certification body's transition audit.

The course ends with an online final exam of 30 questions with a 70% pass mark. Learners who pass receive a verifiable SKEDMIA certificate. It takes about 13.5 hours of self-paced study.
