HSE Induction Training for Employees and Contractors

Nobody should be sent to work before they know what can hurt them there. This course is the general HSE induction that employers across the GCC are expected to deliver before a new employee or contractor picks up a tool, enters a plant area or sits down at a desk. It covers the duties on employer and worker, the hazards a GCC workforce actually meets, the controls that keep them in check, and what must happen in the first sixty seconds of an emergency.

It runs in the order a real induction runs: the HSE policy, how ISO 45001 shapes it, and the right to stop unsafe work; then hazard versus risk, the hierarchy of controls, RAMS, permits to work and lock-out tag-out; then the hazard groups — heat stress and the summer midday break, work at height and ladders, manual handling, vehicles and lifting operations, electricity, hazardous substances, noise, dust and confined spaces. PPE, emergency response, incident and near-miss reporting, site conduct and environmental basics complete the picture.

It is written for new starters, transferring staff, subcontractor crews, supervisors who deliver inductions and HSE officers who need a defensible baseline to add site-specific rules to. Afterwards a learner can read a RAMS and find the controls that apply to them, recognise when a permit is required, respond correctly to an alarm, a casualty or a spill, and report a near miss without fear.

Delivered online and self-paced, approximately 12 hours of study. Assessment is a 30-question final exam with a 70% pass mark; successful learners receive a verifiable SKEDMIA certificate suitable for training records and contractor pre-qualification files.
