Overview
About this course
ISO 41001:2018 is the management system standard for facility management, and in the GCC it has moved quickly from a differentiator to a tender condition. Certified providers, property owners and government estates need internal auditors who can follow a requirement from the demand organisation's core business down through the FM strategy, the service catalogue and the SLA to a closed work order in the CAFM system — and who can write a nonconformity that survives challenge in a governance meeting.
The course works through clauses 4 to 10 in the order an auditor meets them, using ISO 41011 for vocabulary and ISO 41012 for sourcing models and agreement structure: context and interested parties, policy and roles, risks, opportunities and objectives, the integration of people, process, place and technology, competence, communication and documented information, operational planning and control, service integration and coordination, delivery through in-house and outsourced providers, and performance evaluation by service level, asset condition, cost, sustainability and user satisfaction. Every requirement is paired with the evidence to request and the nonconformities that recur.
The final module applies ISO 19011:2018 to real conditions: risk-based audit programmes, sampling a portfolio of buildings and contracts, interviewing technicians and the demand organisation's representative, verifying in plant rooms, grading findings, writing them as problem–location–requirement, reporting, and verifying corrective action to closure.
Assessment is a 30-question online exam with a 70% pass mark. Successful learners receive a verifiable SKEDMIA certificate. Approximately 16 hours of self-paced study.
