Workplace Safety Inspection Checklist (HSE Site Audit Form)

An 11-section, 57-checkpoint walk-through inspection form to spot hazards, confirm controls and record corrective actions.

A ready-to-print site audit form for a routine workplace safety walk-through. Each checkpoint is a plain question answered Yes or No, with a box beside it for what you found and what needs doing, so one form gives you both the inspection record and the action list.

What is inside

Inspection details — organisation, site or department, inspector, date and time.

57 checkpoints in 11 sections: general safety, equipment and machinery safety, electrical safety, chemical handling and storage, personal protective equipment (PPE), ergonomics, fire safety, environmental conditions, health and hygiene, records and training, and emergency preparedness.

Space against every checkpoint for findings, observations or actions.

One 11-page A4 PDF.

Who it is for

HSE officers, supervisors, facility managers and safety committee members who carry out weekly or monthly workplace inspections in offices, workshops, warehouses and factories.

How to use it

Walk the area with the form in hand rather than filling it in at a desk. Tick Yes or No for every checkpoint, write what you actually saw beside each No, and agree an owner and a date for each action before you leave the area. Keep the completed forms: a run of them shows which problems keep coming back.

This is general training material. It does not replace the codes, standards and regulations that apply to your site, a competent person's design, or your own risk assessment. Inspection frequencies and legal requirements differ by country and industry: set yours from local regulations.
