SUMMARY
The Appointed Person training course is to provide the necessary information, instruction and training in order for delegates to perform the function of. Appointed Persons for Lifting Operations in correlation with a appointed person. On completion of the course delegates will be conversant with the principles and practices of Lift Planning in order to be appointed to perform the function of Appointed Persons under British and International standards. Course will provide the candidates with the underpinning knowledge, to be able to understand their roles and responsibilities when planning lifting operations, preparation of lifting plan as per current legislation and with compliance of BS 7121

· Planning of a operations including responsibilities, duties and roles.
· Selection of Machineries / Cranes including crane capabilities and duty charts.
· Preparation of Plans, Method Statements & Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
· Technical Drawing & Other reference doc etc.
· Crane Stability & Ground Conditions
· Selection of Lifting accessories, Rigging Studies & Slinging Techniques
· Common Hazards Associated with Unsecured/ Slippage of Loads
· Common Hazards Associated with Lifting Operations Involving Mobile Cranes
· Lifting Plans
· Risk Assessment and Permit-to-Work
· Statutory Inspection of Equipment and related task
· Pre-use Inspection of resources
· Selection of Lifting Gears for Lifting Operations
